Called Cool Tool Experience, the Program provides a level of assurance to customers that third party tools for Freescale's Wireless and Mobile Systems Group (WMSG) platform solutions are tested and validated by an independent third party, Synchromesh Computing. The goal of the Program is to ensure the customer's "out of the box" experience is analogous to "plug and play" devices that simply work. The validation program will be some combination of baseline tool component listed below listed here:
Third party tool vendors submit their software and/or hardware to Synchromesh Computing, who is providing their Synchromesh Computing First Impressions Testing and Analysis Program at significantly reduced rates. The Program provides functional testing, system interoperability testing of the various tools and hardware components, and a unique scoring system to let vendors know how well they did on factors customers care about, including functionality, performance, documentation, and technical support. The complete package is then affixed with the Synchromesh Computing Tested and Validated Seal of Approval.  ECL, the sister company of Synchromesh Computing, has certified over 350 separate benchmark scores. Synchromesh Computing has expanded on the concept of Certification to software tools, development and reference platforms, benchmarking not related to EEMBC, validation and "market-ready" programs.
