"EEMBC, the Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium, uses Certification. The goal of EEMBC is fair, honest, meaningful benchmarks of processors. With over 50 vendors it has become the de-facto "industry-standard benchmark suite" for microprocessors, microcontrollers, and DSP's. The vendors knew if the benchmark scores were not certified by an independent third party - no one would trust these any more than they trust "MIPS" (meaningless indicator of performance score) or MOPS or "stones" of any kind. That is why they chose ECL - the EEMBC Certification Laboratories to certify the numbers and verify the environment for repeatability. We refer all microprocessor and core specific benchmarking inquires to our sister company, ECL (see below). We actively encourage all microprocessor, microcontroller, DSP, and Intellectual Property/core manufacturers and vendors to join this extremely worthwhile and cost-effective organization. ECL has certified over 350 separate benchmark scores and provides the following services to EEMBC members:
Certification of all EEMBC Benchmark scores and Disclosure Reports
Chairmanship of the EEMBC Technical Advisory Board (TechTAG)
Technical Support by phone, email, fax, web, and on-site
Marketing Support
Participation and Assistant Leadership in the various Subcommittees
Technical resource and advisor in new benchmark development
Developer of EEMBC 1.1 and EEMBC 2.0 benchmark source code
Source code repository and configuration management services
Extremely Cost Effective Porting Assistance for EEMBC members
"ECL, the sister company of Synchromesh Computing, has certified over 350 separate benchmark scores. Synchromesh Computing has expanded on the concept of Certification to software tools, development and reference platforms, benchmarking not related to EEMBC, validation and "market-ready" programs, and practically anything else worth testing and verifying in computer or microprocessor engineering. Our Branding campaigns are significant, and our cooperative marketing and ecosystem development will pay dividends on your bottom line."
